Brrr! Today is the day to blanket your pasture horses if you choose with falling temperatures and precipitation expected overnight. If you blanket, make sure it is waterproof.
If your horse has a long tail I suggest trimming it to mid-cannon or fetlock length to avoid the formation of ice and mud balls at the ends. It will grow back.
