We are getting the barn ready for winter this week; today I cleaned the tack room, and labeled and removed LOTS of treats and feed that the mice were feasting on. If you have a feed container at the East Barn, your treats are there. If you don't, your treats are labeled and in a blue Rubbermaid container near the tack room door.
Please do NOT store any food in the tack room; you can get a secure container for the grain storage area at the East Barn or keep it in your car or trailer.
Please do NOT store any blankets in the tack room as they make excellent homes for mice. If you have a stall horse, you should have a blanket rack on your stall. If you have a pasture horse, please store blankets in your trailer if you have one, or ask me and I will find a place in the barn.
Remember to disconnect hoses after you use them to keep our hydrants from freezing.
